Efford Cottage is a bed and breakfast run by Patricia and Andrew at Efford Cottage, Everton, Lymington, Hampshire SO41 0JD. We are responsible for the personal information described here.

What we collect
When you send an enquiry through this website we receive the details you type into the form: your name, phone number, email address, the dates you would like to stay, your room preference, your message and whether you are travelling with a pet.
When you phone us or stay with us, we keep the details we need to look after your booking, such as your name, contact details and the dates of your stay.
Please do not send us payment card details or health information through the enquiry form.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and check availability.
- To arrange and manage your stay.
- To keep the records we are required to keep by law, such as accounts.
We do not use your details for marketing, and we do not sell them.
Our legal basis
- Taking steps towards, or carrying out, a booking when you ask about or book a stay.
- Our legitimate interests in replying to general questions you send us.
- Legal obligation for the financial records we must keep.
- Consent for analytics cookies. Analytics only runs if you accept, and you can withdraw your consent at any time using Cookie settings.
Who we share it with
- Wix hosts this website and stores the enquiries sent through the form, so that we can read and reply to them. Wix may process data outside the UK, under safeguards approved for international transfers.
- Google provides Google Analytics. Google only receives information about your visit if you accept analytics cookies. The maps on this site are also provided by Google and load from Google's servers.
- Elfsight provides the widget that shows our Google reviews on the homepage. It loads from Elfsight's servers.
We only share your details with anyone else if the law requires us to.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for [Confirm: how long enquiries are kept, for example 12 months] and booking records for [Confirm: how long booking and accounting records are kept, for example 6 years]. After that we delete them.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:
- give you a copy of the information we hold about you;
- correct anything that is wrong;

- send it to you, or to someone else, in a common format.

Our website host, Wix, also sets a few strictly necessary cookies to keep the site secure. These do not need your consent.
